Twitter Tips and Tricks
Twitter came into play in 2006 and over the next 3 years, this basic communications tool experienced a membership boom of over 750%. A late player in the social networking scene, Twitter has now become an essential business tool offering companies the chance to share their brand or product. Despite the 140-character limit, this is not an application like Skype or Instant Messenger. It’s not really meant for one-on-one chats. Twitter is about building networks, interacting with new parties and opening a dialogue with an audience.
Communication is kept to a basic limit but you are networking to others within a pool of potential contacts. Useful tools such as Twhirl and TweetDeck allow you to place a tweet, go and do something else for a few hours and then come back and easily see who sent you messages and linked into your profile. You are connecting to and responding to the outside world through uncomplicated and clean communication.
Twitter also links in perfectly to other social networking sites where you can place more extensive information such as WordPress sites and general blogs. It’s a perfect fusion of interested party (your follower) and you as a business owner.
