Marketing is a multi-faced discipline and activities should be part of a forward thinking and integrated ongoing campaign that is regularly monitored and reviewed. There are many options available to a business. Think about your product, your client base and your long-term objectives. Try not to get stuck in the latest fad!
If you send out a brochure on a yearly basis to clients on your database, look at doing a smaller mailer to them with product highlights part way through the year. Capture e-mail addresses and send out newsletters and updates.
Ensure you are part of social networking sites, make sure you have an optimised website and a strong brand. Link everything together so you are working in an integrated way!
Marketing plans encompassing all or some of the above are a great idea. Really think about what you need to succeed and work all your activities together in order to ensure your exposure is consistent and effective. Don’t forget, it takes a number of different reminders before people tend to actually pick up the telephone or send through an e-mail enquiry. Keep monitoring your progress and keep analysing the results.
